Mike fails Religion Class

Mike had better step up his game, or he'll have to skip camp this year and go to Jesus summer school.

Violent J responds to the hype around the "Miracles" music video.

"As for the infamous line, “fuckin’ magnets… how do they work?” Magnets were like magic to me as a kid. You could move things across the table without actually touching them! I found that shit amazing and I still do. If you don’t like that, have a dick for dinner."

Hitched.

This blog is getting close to 2,000 posts. That's fun.

I am addressing wedding invitations.

The wedding is in Holland, Michigan on July 3. Holland has nice beaches, pretty lawns, lots of conservative Christians, and come July lots of dead tulips. Also me! Getting married.

You are invited, but I don't have your address. Send me an email at clairebeyer at gmail if you might like to come.

Lately, Saturday Night Live has been doing a pretty good job making fun of the Insane Clown Posse. I don't know why they chose to make fun of ICP or if most SNL watchers would get the joke, but I'm happy about it.

And here's the real video

"That's hunky-dory for you; maybe you like the way you are, but most people suffer from it. They suffer from what they are, such as they are; this woman because she's getting wrinkled and her husband won't love her; and that one because she wants her sister to die and leave her Buick; and still another who is willing to devote her whole life to keep her fanny in the right shape; or getting money out of somebody; or thinking about getting a better man than her husband. Do you want me to give you a list on men too? I could go on as long as you like. They'll never change, one beautiful morning. They can't change. So maybe you're lucky. But others are stuck; they have what they have; and if that's their truth, where are we?"

Yann Martel, author of Life of Pi

For as long as Stephen Harper is Prime Minister of Canada, I vow to send him every two weeks, mailed on a Monday, a book that has been known to expand stillness. That book will be inscribed and will be accompanied by a letter I will have written. I will faithfully report on every new book, every inscription, every letter, and any response I might get from the Prime Minister, on this website.

A Trip to Michigan Milita Field Day 2010

"[M]ilitias have long been a part of Michigan's culture. The state is home to 47 of the approximately 500 militias in America, according to the FBI. Michigan is the Long Island iced tea of militia cocktails — blend New Hampshire's libertarianism with Massachusetts' cynicism, and add equal parts gun culture, expansive forests and, at 17 percent, the highest unemployment rate in America."

ice to see you

You Got Iced!
by Brother Smith

A New drinking game is spreading around college campuses. Quite simply the simplest, funniest drinking game ever created. It's quite easy. Buy Smirnoff ice, present it to one of your bro's in any manner, your bro must instantly get on one knee and chug the Smirnoff ice on the spot regardless of setting.

The game was brought to my campus from some Vermont Bro's who used to play with their Bro's from Saint Lawrence. It's now being played here on my campus and other campuses in the Southeast.

Bro's might ask... what's the fun in that? Well it's all about creativity. Planting an ice in a discrete location where your bro might not know where it is. For example... one of my bro's gave an ice to a bartender and asked him to hold onto it until his other bro showed up. Bro 1 asks Bro 2 if he wants a beer. The bartender then presents Bro 2 with the ice. An instant chant of "you got iced" precedes and Bro 2 chugs the ice on the spot. The best part of the game is that you can ice anyone in on the game at any moment in any place. Bro's have been iced in restaurants, walking down the street, and at complete inappropriate times, which makes the game all the better.

To really fuck over your bros try and buy the most disgusting flavored ice or a 24oz ice. Pineapple, mango, and grape are top of the list for the most gut wrenching, mind numbing, throw up in your mouth, Smirnoff ice flavors.

Now there are some simple rules to the game:

1.)You cannot refuse an ice. If you refuse to drink the ice you are instantly excommunicated and shunned, and thus can never ice another bro or be iced.

2.)If you are iced by a fellow bro you can ice block. When presented w/ an ice, you pull out an ice of your own and reverse the ice on your bro. The ultimate ice insult.

Now Many you may think it's the dumbest shit you've ever heard of. Try it with your bros and it will dominate your life. It's all about planning and strategy. You always have to be prepared and watch your back. At any moment you could get iced. You may look like the biggest fucking walking into a store and buying a six pack of Smirnoff ice, but don't let those bro haters judge you. Little do they know you are bout to destroy one of your bro's nights for the enjoyment of the brommunity.

Malcolm McLaren RIP

“For me Malc was always entertaining, and I hope you remember that. Above all else he was an entertainer and I will miss him, and so should you.” — John Lydon, a k a Johnny Rotten, the Sex Pistols front man, on the band’s manager Malcolm McLaren, who died on Thursday.

Faulty Humanity

I knew by this time what Thea thought of these people and in fact of most people, with their faulty humanity. She couldn't stand them. And what her eccentricity amounted to was that she proposed a different kind of humanity altogether. I guess nothing restrains people from demanding ideal conditions. Very little restrains them from anything. Thea's standard was high, but she wasn't exactly to blame as having arbitrarily set it high. For when she talked to me about some particular person she'd be more frightened than scornful. People with whom she had to struggle scared her, and what I'd call average hypocrisy, just the incidental little whiffs of the social machine, was terribly hard on her. As for greediness or envy, fat self-smelling of appreciation, hates and destructions, fraud, gnawing, she had a very poor tolerance of them, and I'd see her go out in the eyes in a really dangerous way at a gathering.

No joke

It was on this trip that Faye acquired a new suitor by the name of Homer Simpson. About a week after Harry had taken to his bed, Tod met Homer for the first time. He was keeping the old man company when their conversation was interrupted by a light knock on the apartment door. Tod answered it and found a man standing in the hall with flowers for Faye and abottle of port wine for her father.

Celeb Sighting!

While Greg and I were in the art collection at the Huntington estate in Pasadena, I was scoping out a girl wearing a sun dress who was slightly gawky. An older man walked up and started talking to her, so I buzzed off. Greg said "Did you see who that was?" We saw her and her father, Eric Idle, again later in the gift shop.
